Understand how learners can mark a skill as achieved with Knowledge Checks.
Submitting a Check
If Knowledge Checks have been set up on the platform (see Skills Knowledge Checks), then learners will be required to submit a knowledge check for skills (depending on how Skills Knowledge Checks has been set up).
When viewing a skill, clicking Achieved on a skill with an active check will display a modal with a prompt:
-
Text Entry Knowledge Checks - Write your submission and click Submit.
Once submitted:
-
The skill shows "Pending Review".
-
The Learner's line manager will be notified of the submission.
Spaces View / Suggested Skills Carousel: Knowledge checks are also prompted if the learner marks a skill as "Achieved" from a Suggested Skills carousel.
Cancelling a Submission
Learners may cancel a Knowledge Check submission by the following:
-
Click Cancel Submission to withdraw it.
-
A confirmation modal appears.
-
If cancelled, learners must redo the knowledge check to mark the skill as achieved in the future.
Skill status in carousels or other areas won’t update until the check is approved.
