Learn how to create content, to share knowledge with your team.

Overview

Share practical tips, real-world examples, and best practices with your teammates in Thirst. By sharing this practical knowledge, your colleagues can apply it directly to their job tasks and challenges, making it more relevant and immediately useful.

How to create content

To get started, select the Screenshot 2023-09-28 at 13.42.46 icon in the bottom right-hand corner of any page. 

Then, select the type of content you want to create by clicking one of the icons. Thirst will walk you through any additional steps that need to be completed for that content type. 

Content Types in thirst

Since people learn in lots of different ways, there are lots of different types of content that can be added to Thirst. These are:

  • Audio: Upload or record audio files
  • Event: Schedule and share events
  • File: Share files in various formats
  • Learning Journey: Create and share comprehensive learning paths
  • Link: Share useful links
  • PDF: Upload and share PDF documents
  • Quiz: Create interactive quizzes
  • SCORM: Upload SCORM packages
  • Text: Share text-based content
  • Video: Upload or record video files
  • Vimeo: Share videos from Vimeo
  • YouTube: Share videos from YouTube

Add Additional Details and Publish

There are many additional details and settings that can be added to content. To start with, ensure that your content has an image and a helpful description. This will help others to find and use your content. 

When writing a description, highlight your text to reveal formatting options, including:

  • Headings (various sizes)
  • Bullet & Numbered Lists
  • Quotes
  • Code Blocks
  • Bold, Italics, Underline, Strikethrough
  • Text Colour

Once your content is ready, click Publish to share it with your organisation.

Getting the Most Out of Content

  1. Be Specific: Share detailed, actionable tips that your teammates can directly apply to their work.
  2. Use Multimedia: Mix different content types (audio, video, text) to make your knowledge sharing more engaging.
  3. Encourage Interaction: Invite your teammates to comment and share their own tips to foster a collaborative learning environment.
