      Editing Spaces and Rows

      Customise your dashboards by adding and configuring different rows, to tailor the content to your learners.

      Getting Started With Rows

      Spaces are made up of Rows. Each row type serves a unique purpose and displays specific content. By combining different rows, you can create unique, personalised experiences for your learners that surface new content, skills, and other users for them to interact with. 

      Adding Rows

      To add a row to your Space, follow these steps:

      1. Edit Space: Select Edit Space at the bottom of your Space to enter editing mode.

      2. Add Row: Select Add Row to insert a new row into your Space.

      3. Choose Row Type: Choose the type of row you'd like to add.

      Row Types

      Here are the different rows that can be added in Thirst:

      • Content Rows
        • Assigned to me: Displays content assigned to you, prioritising in-progress or incomplete content.
        • Because you are working towards [skill]: Shows content related to a skill you're working towards.
        • Content from [#topic]: Displays content from specific #topics.
        • Content from people I follow: Shows content shared by users you follow.
        • Content from [skill]: Displays content related to specific skills.
        • Content I’ve published: Shows content you've published.
        • Enhance your knowledge in [skill]: Shows content related to a skill you've achieved.
        • My drafts: Displays your draft content.
        • My saved content: Shows content you've saved.
        • Recently completed: Displays content you've recently completed.
        • Recently viewed: Shows content you've recently viewed.
        • Up next: Provides content recommendations based on your current activity and preferences.
        • Widen your skill set: Offers content from skills you're not currently working towards.
        • Your latest recommendations: Displays personalized content recommendations based on your interactions and similar user behavior.
      • People Rows
        • New People In Your Organisation: Shows users added in the last 30 days.
        • People I follow: Displays users you follow.
        • Suggested People For You: Shows suggested users to follow based on your interactions.
      • Skill Rows
        • Enhance my skills: Interactive block suggesting skills you may be interested in.
        • My skills block: Allows quick updates to your skills status.
        • My skills carousel: Displays skills you've achieved or are working towards.
        • Skills from people I follow: Shows skills achieved or targeted by users you follow.
        • Skills I am working towards: Displays skills you're actively working on.
        • Skills I have achieved: Shows skills you've achieved.
        • Skills X, Y, Z: Presents a preset list of skills.
        • Suggested skills for you: Recommends skills based on your interactions and recommendations.
      • Other Rows
        • External links: Shows a row of cards that can be configured by admin and links to other URLs.
        • Getting the most out of thirst: A preset row of cards that gives new learners guidance on how to use Thirst's admin features
        • Image carousel: Shows a carousel of images that can be configured by admins. Useful for brand campaigns or header images. 
        • My Learning header: A static component showing the user's profile picture and some basic data about their use of thirst. 
        • Upcoming events: An interactive calendar, showing all events in your organisation over the next 2 weeks. 
        • Welcome to thirst: A preset row of cards that show new learners how to use thirst.

      Managing Rows

      Row Settings

      Select the cog icon on the right side of each row to edit the Settings for this row. Here are the settings you can edit:

      • Title: The name of the Row.
      • Maximum number of items: The maximum number of items that can be displayed in the row.
      • Visible to: The roles that the Space is visible to.
      • Background colour: Change the colour that displays in the background for the row. 

      Some rows have unique settings. For example the Image Row allows you to select what image(s) display in the row. 

      Re-ordering Rows

      After adding a row, you can rearrange its position on the Space, to prioritise different information for your learners. Select the arrows on the left side of each row to move it up and down.

      Deleting Rows

      If you no longer need a specific row, you can remove it from your Space. Select the trash icon on the right hand side of each row to do this. 

      Getting the Most Out of Rows

      1. Stay Organised: Prioritise content and arrange rows logically for fast access to essential information.

      2. Experiment with Rows: Explore diverse row options to tailor your Space to your learners' styles and preferences.

      3. Regular Review: Keep your Space fresh by updating content regularly to ensure relevance.

      With the ability to customise your Thirst Spaces using various rows, you can create a personalised learning experience tailored to your learners' unique preferences and goals. Experiment with different row types to curate content that best supports your organisation's learning journey.
