Learn how to create a structured and visually engaging Learning Journey in Thirst.
Overview
Learning Journeys let you group related content into a structured path for learners to complete. You can divide the journey into sections, control the order of completion, and track progress. This guide will show you how to create a Learning Journey, add content, and publish it so learners can start their path.
Create a Learning Journey
When creating content, select Learning Journey as the content type. Give your journey a title, then click Create Draft to start building it.
Add Images and Descriptions
You can upload an image by selecting Image, and add a description to introduce the purpose of the journey and what learners can expect.
Add/Edit Sections and Content
By default, Section 1 of the Learning Journey will display. You can start adding content by clicking Add Content, where you can either choose from existing activities or create new ones directly in the section. If your organisation has Thirst AI enabled, the option to Generate Quiz using AI will also display in the dropdown.
If you want to rename a section, click the settings cog next to its title. To remove it completely, select the bin icon. You can also add as many new sections as you need by clicking Add Section, and rearrange your content manually by clicking the arrows to place the Section/Content into the desired order.
Learning Journey Settings
Under Settings, you'll find the following Learning Journey specific settings:
- Sections must be completed in order (disabled by default) – require learners to complete all content in one section before unlocking the next.
- Show table of contents (enabled by default) – display table of contents to learners on the learning journey page, and on content pages which are accessed from within the learning journey.
Once your Learning Journey is complete, click Publish at the top of the page. After publishing, you can assign it to groups or individual learners, and set due dates or schedules as part of the assignment process. By default, a newly published Learning Journey will be visible to all users unless you choose to limit visibility to specific groups – this must be done when editing a learning journey.
